Skin scrapings: performed to detect parasites.
Trichogram: microscopic examination of the hair.
Wood’s lamp examination: diagnosis of fungal diseases and assessment of skin condition.
Cytological examination: diagnosis of inflammation and neoplastic lesions.
Skin biopsy: using the fine-needle or excisional method.
Video-otoscopy: allows for an accurate assessment of the external ear canal and the tympanic membrane.
Dermoscopy: diagnosis of pigmented lesions.
Blood allergy tests – Polycheck®, PAX. The examination is used to determine environmental allergens in dogs and cats for the purpose of diagnosing allergic diseases and the possibility of applying allergen-specific immunotherapy (desensitization).
Diagnosis of endocrine disorders.
Collection of material for bacteriological, mycological, and histopathological examinations.
